Trad metal with a dark, gothic leaning. The album blurb talks about the band seeking to deliver a timeless sound on the record and I think they nailed it. Everything you want from a traditional metal album is delivered in spades. Great riffs, great melodies and the production quality is excellent. The thing that holds a lot of good bands back from being great is the quality of the singing. The vocals are a real strength on this record, capturing the energy of the songs perfectly. Superb record!

i take so much pride being named after this absolutely fantastic album made by the king himself, without this album my love for the dark would not be the same. Was recently gifted this album by a dear friend of mine, on a beautiful blue pressing and could never be more happier. with owning it on cassette and CD, hearing it finally on vinyl is a whole new world.
